The gardens and pond around it were laid out by Roberto Burle Marx, better known for the wavy pavement patterns along Rio's beaches.

A colonização do Brasil by Carybé, 1964
Carybé was actually born in Argentina, but adopted Brazil so completely he ended up carving its history into the side of buildings like this one.
Erisava: Impressive, sure — but you'd need a ladder to actually read it.

Monumento ao Tropeiro by Poty Lazzarotto, 1965
Apparently a 'tropeiro' was someone who drove mule trains loaded with goods across southern Brazil, back before there were roads built for anything faster than a hoof.
Erisava: Feels like a lot of monument for a bunch of pack mules.

Painel do Edifício Andorinha by Belmiro de Almeida, 1934
I couldn't find much about this one beyond the building's name - 'andorinha' means swallow in Portuguese, which the mosaic makes pretty literal.

La Madone de São Paulo by Inti, 2015
You'll come across this one in the Vale do Anhangabaú in São Paulo. The signature credits two street artists, and it shows - the delicate mechanical hand doesn't feel like the same one that painted the flowers.
Erisava: Feels like three different tattoos got crammed onto one wall.
