Apparently it stands for the twin-town friendship between Turku and Gothenburg, and there are two of them — the original in one city and a copy in the other. You'll come across this one by the market square at Puutori.

Amsterdam was throwing up entire new neighbourhoods around this time, and supposedly he was out in it constantly — he took hundreds of photographs of the city and worked from them indoors afterwards, which was not a normal way to paint back then.

The locals call this one 'the Mad Milkman', though nobody could tell me why. They say it's meant to be reason trying to rein in the emotions, cast the year after the sculptor died — and it's supposedly the biggest bronze ever poured in the country.
